The Insert point comes BETWEEN the individual sound source (re: organ tone)and the output stage that leads to the mixer or amp. Insert effects affect ONLY one single, signal. That's it. It's not in a buss, or an effects loop - it's "inserted" within a particular track, channel or sound source.
Look at the inputs on a good quality mixer - you will most likely find insert points for all or some mic channels. They consist of an "IN" and an "OUT" and only affect the channel that they belong to.
