I fully agree with all positive comments. Its difficult to image what a next generation after TYROS could become.

The USB disconnect problem is know at Yamaha and under work to come up with a solution.
My experience is search your environment for equipment that causes spikes on the mains outlets, connect the TYROS via a mains filter (filtering off from 100 Khz).

I think als the slow speed of the USB is recognized by Yamaha and hopefully a solutions comes available. The question is if a OS upgrade can do the improvement of is an expensive service upgrade required?

I have been in contact with Yamaha service, as few others have contacts.
Let wait and see for few weeks.
