I have to agree with Al regarding the Tyros and USB 'timeout' problems. When I performed the Tyros 1.10 OS update, the USB connection 'timed out' right in the MIDDLE of the updating process Thankfully I was able to reboot the PC and successfully reintiate the update.

In addition, I've experienced 'timed out' messages 2 or 3 other times, when attempting to move large amounts of data back and forth between my PC and the Tyros.

In general though, the USB connection between my PC and Tyros works fine, abeit much slower than I'd like prefer.

Can someone here explain exactly WHAT a USB 'time out' is, and what actually causes it to occur?
