Hi all,
I have just uploaded to my website a studio version of "Mas que nada", the third song I played at "Bossa Nova in Concert"; of course the rhytm section is not the same (and the difference is evident especially in the ending...) but at least you can get a better idea of my arrangement. The basic idea was to recreate the sound of a little vocal section and -to achieve this- I layered three vocal sounds in the right part of the 9000 pro, while the left hand played just a piano sound; from a technical point of view the trickiest point of the song was to play with the right timing the break (with a C7+9 chord). Personally I don't think that I would have been able to recreate the same sound with another arranger, but maybe I am wrong.
Your opinions and comments are, as always, much appreciated.
Andrea
