Uncle Dave, Thank you for your reply. Yes you are correct if you save the settings as a UPS (User Program Set) this will also call up the midi file from disk ready to play.
As I have stated I am recently new to the EM2000 and I wish to get to know all its plus & minus points, as I did with the Korg i30.
I certainly prefer the Roland voicing they are clear and open, but the Styles where more playable and variable on the i30. The Korg backings where also more vibrant, this was due to the large available effects settings and placements included in the Korg arrangements. The Roland arrangements effects are limited to providing mainly Reverb & Chorus. The DSP EFX effects only being available in the real-time (keyboard) voices.
Any further input is welcome about the EM2000 \ G1000.
