I work locally(in Nova Scotia)doing dinner music and background music for conventions and similar venues.Unfortunately I do not have any recordings of my stuff except for some Midi files that I plan to put on a CD.They're mostly okay,except they may need some remixing before burning. I notice that most if not all uploads to this site are done in some sort of audio format.
My next investment is a HD recorder/CD burner;my laptop is not powerful enough, and doesn't have the right inputs to be utilized.
I do all my recording in Quick Record and use no overdubs,as I want to be able to reproduce everything "live" that I've recorded.
I rely heavily on my own custom styles to do the work,so to speak,and I'm usually not concerned if my recordings are exactly like the original...although I make sure the melody is accurate and the tune is identifiable.
I play very simply,probably influenced from being a demonstrator and having to make it look easy,Maybe I'm doing something right,as I am usually kept pretty busy.
