I have been going through chip after chip after chip and still have not found the right set for my 9000. So... as for any set of 72 pin simms working...FORGET ABOUT IT!.
I have a copy of some of the recommended models of chips that other forum members have had sucess with, however these appear to have been discontinued or updated with new model numbers. I'm on my way to Staples to follow up on some advise from another forum member and see if I can finally get the right memory. I just can't believe for a minute that we would ever have to pay Yamaha some outragous price for a pair of 72 pin simms. I just won't do it!
Anyway, good luck with your search. I am still "In Search Of.."
