All the reasons above point to why I still must carry an outboard harmonizer to work. I need flexibility and the internal units (all of them) just don'tmatch up so far. I rely on my vocals to carry the act,and I just can't compromise that area of my performance. The SD1 harmonizer SOUNDS great, as does the PA80board, but the user accessibility is no where near where it is with a dedicated unit.

Those built in units work well in SMF situations where the notes are written into a track and played back in vocoder mode, but in a live situation - I can duck & weave in and out of the arrangement with ease with my Digitech.(Vocalist VR)

Some things are easy to compromise on. My vocals are not up for grabs.
