I have never attended a summer namm show. This year's decision to move it to Texas was probably a big mistake. Many East Coast dealers would attend the show when it was held in Nashville. It wasn't such a big trip, but doing it in Austin, Tx was not the smartest idea. I've been told that besides many local Texas folks attending, there was a lot of "down time" throughout the 4 days.
The Roland E80, E60 and E50 was introduced by the Roland CK division (Piano and Organ) rather then the MI (musical instrument)division. Casio had the 2 new 88 note keyboards, one with weighted keys and one with spring loaded keys, which should make a big splash because of them including the features found in the WK series and at Prices of $499.99 for the 88 non weighted model with stand and pedal and $799 map for the 88 weighted hammer action model with stand and pedal included.

So, George, the new Roland arrangers are going to wither on the CK vine, as they have let the G70?

What are Roland thinking? Do they honestly think the CK division has done such a good job promoting and selling the G70 that they deserve a second try at the job??

They need to take a hard look at their G1000/800 sales figures and ask 'are CK doing as good a job as MI did?'.........
