Not much talk about the new yammie. What's up? Not impressed? Old hat? Are they not very available? I would like to be reading more from those with experience. Seems to me that the fact it has some of the better SA tones, that is would be a real winner.

First off its a mix of 3k/T2 in a way that has been talked about for years already.....aside from not many people having one yet due to its new release, & not many new styles.
Besides the inclusion of SA voices & a few little changes would result in not that much Buzz versus a New concept design with exciting new features that will lift the spirit & create the
"I Gotta have that Keyboard " scenario. most S900 buyers are just wanting to replace their 3k or might fall into the
"I always wished I had a T2" category. I personally didn't fall for it after much research & hands on T2 experience resulting in myself jumping ship on Yamaha after many years, But I wont rule out the future although Yammy will really have to step up their game for me to even consider another unit. I want to wish all new S900 users good luck & if I can help you just email me.

Thanks, again, Donny. You're making a lot of sense. I am probably one of those who would like to have the features of the T2 but don't want to spend those big (over-priced) bucks. The 3000 (which I own) offers plenty of bang for the buck and I'm thinking the S900 will, too. As soon as I can sell the 3000, I'll have my sights set on the S900, unless something else catches my attention.

Well, Uncle Dave, if you're reading this, email me. Maybe we can do a deal...wouldn't be the first time you bought one of my toys! (And I'm right up the PA turnpike from you...)

Well...Just bought my very first arranger - S900 from George. As usual, George takes the extra step in showing all the in's and out's of these arrangers.
I'm one who keeps a keyboard for a long time. This S900 has everything and more than I'll ever use. Will keep me occupied for years to come. What a blast this unit is. Sounds and styles are just great.
This unit is for the home...my passion is music and this arranger has it all for me.

I demoed and considered the Roland E60 and even the Korg PA800. The S900 really does it all and a great price from George to boot.
These units are selling well...just need a few more folks (lurkers) like me to confess to owning one.

Mark...

Well, i've had mine for a week today. It is my first serious arranger. I haven't posted about it because;
1, I already knew what it would sound like from all the tyros 2 demos. IT is a great sounding board, but nothing ground-breaking; that was the tyros 2 job.
2, in my case, it takes a bit longer to learn how it works because I cannot just guess how it will work by pressing buttons to see what happens. I have to memorize the sequence of button pushes to achieve a goal. And I haven't had a lot of time to devote to that. As I get more time and experience, I'm sure the comments and questions will start pouring in from me.

I think I'm going to enjoy creating my own styles. I think I can do a more authentic job in a couple of the genres than the default styles.
