Hi, I bought a KN2000 some days ago and I'm having big problems with MIDI files.
I tried to format a 720K floppy on the keyboard and copied on it some MIDIs from my PC (XP)
The keyboard seems to recognize them only if they are placed in a subfolder on the floppy, but every time I try to load one the display
says: "This is not a STANDARD MIDI FILE"
What can I do to have some of my thousands of MIDIs played on the keyboard?

I don't know if it can help but if I download some of the "converted styles for KN2000" from Gunnar Gotaas' site the keyboard says that they are for another product...

With Gunnar help I have tried almost everything:

1. Convert files to 0 and 1 format
2. Saving in the root of A:
3. Reduce tracks to 16
4. Convert file to format1 and GM initializing it
5. Use Win98 instead of XP to save files on floppy

The strange thing is that none of the midi files can be loaded. Some files are not even seen by the keyboard, either i place them in the root of A: or in a subfolder on A: (note: this way I've been able to let the keyboard "see" some files, but not to load them).
Every recognized file gave me a "not a standard midi file"...

I was thinking of a floppy/drive failure but trying to load some styles from a floppy I received with the keyboard worked out.

It's a real mistery to me! This thing is driving me crazy...

Please help.

P.S.: Thanks Gunnar for pointing me here.
