Hi folks,

I'm trying to record the a JV-1010 sound as Audio in Cubase (v5). When I play back the recording listening to the result through a pair of monitor headphones, the sound quality has totally lost it's edge. Compared to listening to the JV-1010 sound directly (i.e. with headphones plugged into the JV itself) there is just no comparison.

Does anyone know why this is? Am I doing something wrong when recording (I'm feeding the output of the JV into two inputs on a Tascam 424 (acting as a mixer) which plugs into the Line-In of the soundcard (Soundblaster Live).

Is it due to the soundcard converting digital to an analogue signal? Or is it that the soundcard is crappy?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Curlee
