Hi Bernie, my apologies for having missed responding to your posting reply earlier.

Hi Scott
My scanned jpegs are in Paperport format. That is the software that was bundled with my One Touch(Visioneer)scanner.
If your music was scanned by your scanner and then saved as jpeg (.jpg) format files, then the included "MusicPad Manager" software will easily convert them into MusicPad Pro readable ".fh" format.

The upcoming
OS 4.0 version (free downloadable upgrade) promises to include support for both midi & MP3 playback. In addition, other 4.0 enhancements will include 2-page (side-by-side) display in landscape mode, wireless networking between units, as well as other new features.
As I've mentioned before, imho $1,200 is a worthy investment (perhaps, except for the arrKB itself, the best music device one I'd ever made) as for the first time, I now have MY ENTIRE music library conveniently & quickly accessable all in ONE place. Considering how often many of us upgrade our arrangers KBS, PA system, music equipment & software, $1,200 seems reasonable for gaining the powerful features & convenience (both in the studio & onstage) of the MusicPad Pro+.
As far as all the time & work scanning/converting goes, thanks to the work already performed by other MusicPad owners (like myself), any of 'my friends' who purchase a MusicPad will already have a substantial collection of (.fh file format) songs available to them, if they're willing to put in a little effort in contributing conversion work of song material (fakebooks) not already converted yet. This method of sharing benefits all participants. For details, email me.
Ok Bernie (and others), let me know when you decide to join the MusicPad Pro+ owner fan club.
Scott
