Just wanted to announce that the second PSR2000 that I purchased had a bad speaker. When playing certain styles with a heavy bass, the right speaker would make an unwholesome vibration. I compared this with my identical PSR2000, and realized I had a defective keyboard.

I'm returning the keyboard to the vendor.

I just got one too and mine seems to buzz a tiny tiny bit on the right side when a low bass note is played in certain styles. Thats the only time it buzzes and just a tiny bit. Is this what you were experiencing too? Or was yours buzzing alot more. It would be nice NOT to hear a buzz at all but I
was wondering if this was normal or am I
experiencing the same thing you are.

Thanks.

I cranked the volume on mine 'all the way up' and there is NO buzz or vibration. If this occurred on my unit, I would 'take it back' for a replacement. Even so, I don't recommend turning up the internal speakers full tilt. I' don't think they're designed to be played that loud. If you need more volume, get an external PA or listen thru headphones. I just recently purchased a pair of EV SxA100's: http://www.electrovoice.com/New/Main_Sid...eries-Flier.pdf
They sound teriffic with the 2000 keyboard. Now, what were you saying? . . . I can't h-e-a-r you.

Yes, I just shipped back one of my PSR2000s. When I turn it up all the way on certain styles, there is a buzz on the right speaker. It is more than a tiny buzz, but it isn't real bad, but hey, it should be perfect. It's a new keyboard. My other PSR2000 doesn't have that problem.

You are right. It should be perfect. I panned a bass to the left and there was no buzz at all. Then I panned it to the right and sure thing, it buzzed like a bee. I called the music store and they are going to replace it for me. Despite this setback, I really like this keyboard.

I can see several posts about returning instruments.
Doese'nt the dealers check out the equipment before
it's beeing sendt to the customers?
Or is it the postofficers who treat it like a football?
Just thinking..............

The dealer shouldn't have to check it. That's Yamaha's job. And the keyboard should be built like a football. These are keyboards made for gigging. If there's a buzz right out of the shop, then there is something wrong with the workmanship. Hopefully, just a minority of keyboards have this problem. I will ask the dealer to check the instrument before he ships it to me. I love my PSR2000, so I hope it is durable.

Well, I don't hope that the new keyboards are
going to look like a fotball too
I think I'm a lucky guy who have the dealers
near by, and can try out at the shop or at
home before I buy.
Maybe it's time to take a trip to look at the
PSR2000 so I know what kind of "thing" this
is, but I'm waiting for St.Claus to drop a new
KN6500 down my chimney.
That's solid stuff, and a trip from the roof
would not harm it, specially if I lay under
where it's going to land

Gunnar,
I hope you put out the fire before laying down in the fireplace...
