I'll be starting to prep my holiday repertoire over the next few weeks...I'll assume I have most of the standard Xmas/seasonal favorites already in my book...

Curious if anyone has some nice, perhaps well-known, but not necessarily so, songs they might suggest...

Thanks-

Bill, these are my two 'personal' lesser known Christmas favorites that I like to include in my Christmas shows:

* Merry Christmas Darling, beautifully sung by Karen Carpenter:

PLAY Sample Clip

* Christmas Time Is Here, by the Vince Guaraldi Trio:

Play Sample Clip (Vocal Version)

Play Sample Clip (Instrumental Version)

"Have Yourself a Merry Little Chrismas" is probably a song in your standard favorites, but I really like this song. Had trouble playing it last year. Will have to work on this song again for this xmas.

Alabama has a great song "Christmas In Dixie".

"Mary did you know" sung by Kenny Rodgers and Wynona Judd is a beautiful song.

Wait after the page loads and the MP3 will play.

We have performed it at select occasions, since most venues prefer secular music.

"Grandma" is not that bad for a novelty, but John Denver's "Daddy Don't Get Drunk This Christmas" is horrible!

The Ultimate Christmas Fake Book - 3rd Edition by Hal Leonard is good. A plus is that the keys are the same as most of the Christmas style/MDF collections found in the PSRTutorial.com files.
