Well I see the Motif ES thread is history. TAFKA (Jim) must of had an itchy finger I guess. I can't believe Nigel would of deleted the whole thread more likely just the offending posts within the thread if he was going to do anything. Arrghh!!! So much good was lost over a silly notion that the thread "just had to go", not taking into consideration all the time and effort that each one added to the thread. Maybe TAFKA finally got so upset about Nigel not restoring his old Username/Password that he deleted the thread out of frustration and packed up his bags and headed elsewhere.

Say hello to all those Gear Freaks over at Harmony Central for us Jim. To bad they don't have an Arranger Keyboard Forum over there.

Okay, enough said about that. Since the link I had posted to the Motif ES sounds was deleted along with everything else I will go ahead and post it again here on this thread.

Here is another link to the Motif ES Manual and also the Motif ES Data List, etc. http://www.motifator.com/es/btm/btmes_index.php

Enjoy!

Regards,
Mike

Also I wanted to let those that own the current Motif know that there is an upgrade program from Yamaha for the new Motif ES.

The upgrade package is only available to USA owners (it may be available later in other countries). You will be able to trade up to the Motif ES for the cost of approximately 3 PLG Expansion Boards. They run around $300 retail. So for roughly $900 dollars you can trade in your old Motif and get the new Motif ES. I am not positive but I think Keyfax, who works in conjunction with Yamaha in Marketing the Motif ES, is the only way to do the upgrade. So you would have to contact them I believe.

PS: I ordered my Motif ES DVD! The DVD should be completed sometime later this month and then begin shipping. The DVD is FREE. The customer just pays a $5.00 shipping and handling fee. If your thinking about getting one you better hurry. The DVD will return to its original price of $29.95 eventually.

Best regards,
Mike

Mike,
Ditto on the thread deletion and I ordered the DVD too. I think the upgrade program is very cool for those that own the original Mo.

The thread deletion was simply an accident. As you all know that thread had taken a turn for the worse so while I was individually deleting all postings relating to it I accidently pressed the "Delete Topic" button instead of the "Delete Posting" ... oops. Sorry about that. Human error !!!!

And there is nothing wrong with TAFKA's old account. But he doesn't seem to be receiving the password through his Hotmail account even though it is being sent out. I suspect Hotmail's spam filter is mistakenly thinking it is spam and deleting it. I have since sent him the password to his regular email address. That's about all I can do. The only reason there was a problem at all was because he had registered more than once then changed his email address so both accounts had the same address, and at that point the BBS doesn't know what password to send where. I have fixed that for him now, so if he has received my own email response to him with his password he should be able to use "The Pro" once again.
