A neighbor has a Roland G800 in perfect shape she wants to sell for $500.I am looking for a backup for my KN7000 so it has to be an arranger.I know a G1000 is much better, but scarce.

Thanks
Bernie

The G800 and the KN7000 is like comparing a toyota to a ferrari, and think that if your KN did fail, it wouldnt even be worth trying to replace it with a G800, id save yourself 500 and just knock on wood that nothing happens to your 7k.

Bernie,

I've always been a stickler for backups. When it comes to keyboard backups, I always back up with an identical model. This makes the transition from the main to the backup a piece of cake.

I'm such a nut about backups that I'm purchasing a backup van to carry my gear. It probably will not get used much, but when one fails, the other will be ready to go--just the same as the keyboards, laptops, etc.

Good Luck,

Gary

Bernie-

Wise move to acquire a backup kb. I just picked a PSR3000 to serve as a backup for my Tyros...

Good luck-

I have never had a backup for my PA, or my Guitar or my keyboard with me on the job. I know I have been lucky but I weigh the risk against carrying the extra equipment and money involved and chose not to. However, I do carry a backup for my music in my laptop--I don't trust it. But I did the same with my first calculator, I would write my numbers on a paper bag and then total them just to see if the calculator was correct.

I always had a friend with an instrument or PA who lived near by, but not on the job.

Bad things can happen, it is our personalities that decide what to prepare for. Calculated risks.

Today is starting just fine, John C.

At one time long back I had a wife and a girl friend, is that the same type of thing?

Bernie get yourself a KN2600 and you have it covered. It will do most of what the KN7 needs to do for you and they are pretty reasonable insurance. I take mine in the motorhome when I go tripping and don't even miss that added features of the KN7
