Supposed you download a midi file from internet and rush to copy it to your keyboard. If you don't scan your diskette first and it happens to be infected, can the virus destroy the OS and files in your keyboard?

And again, has Ketron ever consider creating a password feature so Solton owners can protect their midi files from being copied, or their setting being messed with?

If there exists a virus within a midifile, the worst that can happen to your keyboard (Ketron) is that it won't be able to play the song(s).

The password feature currently exists on all X, SD and XD series:
UTILITTY -> PAGE2 -> PASSWORD (F4) [XD-series]
UTILITY -> PAGE3 -> PASSWORD (F6) [SD1 and X-series].

I'm not AJ, but I'll give it a try.

A password can be assigned to a certain folder if/when you want to avoid files inside beeing overwritten/deleted. You might like to take a look at the SD1/XD9 manual (available online at the Ketron site) for details: it will work to same way in your X1.
