Hi friends,

one question about the Yamaha 2000. How many Registrations can it hold? The PSR 9000 has 512 as far as I was informed.

Hi Markus,
I have a 2000 & I'm still learning about it.
There are others that could answer you better than I, but I'll try.
First off the only thing that limits the number of regestrations is the flash memory that you have in the user area. You see everything is stored together, sort of like on a hard drive in a computer! If you don't store to many like songs or styles which take much more room there's no telling how many registrations it would hold!
It escapes me right now just what the memory is on my 2000. But I know it's less than what you have on a comon froppy disk!
I have over 250 song setups on one floppy disk! It doesn't even use 1/4 of the disc!
Don't know if this helps. But I hope so.
The Best to you,
Nobby

The memory in the psr2000 is 720kb. However many registrations you can put into 720kb is how many you can have. I don't know how much each registration uses. Everytime you fill up the page within the user registrations, you go to the next page and so on and so on until you have no more memory left.

Markus: The PSR2000 only allows you to load only one Registration Memory Bank (which includes 8 individual memory setups) at a time. But the 2000 includes a innovative feature (while in Registration Sequence mode) which will automatically load a subsequent Registration Memory Bank when you reach Registration Memory #8 and then hit memory increment (next button) or associated regist+ foot pedal. To accomplish this, set the 'Sequencer End' setting on the Function>Registration Sequencer page to: 'Next Bank'. This in effect gives you access to an unlimited number of Registration Memories to be called up in sequential order. Hope this helps. - Scott
