Nigel helped me out, big-time this week-end. Several weeks ago, I posted about a family member who's health is rapidly climbing. Hospice is involved in late-stage planning.

I made a big mistake when I posted his name. As you know, when anyone then searched by his name on Google and probably other search engines, the post came up.

Out of the woodwork came investment councelors (insurance salesmen), college "development officers", the local medical society, a lawyer, a funeral home or two...lots of "cards and letters"; mostly seeking a part of the guy's money. I made a major mistake posting the name. He is well-known and has considerable personal assets.

Nigel kindly removed the post. It contained personal feelings and frustration about family involvement (or the lack of) in his care and was not appropriate for world-wide distribution.

Just be careful what you post on the net.

And Nigel, thanks so much for your help.
