....everywhere you look around.
(Love that tune!)

This is so funny ... everyone at work tonight was commenting on my song choices! I play, largely, the same stuff night after night with a few tasty tidbits from my dusty memory banks each set, but tonight - everything sounded fresh and new .... must be hormones ... or feremones ... or somesortamones ......
All I know is - all the stuff I sang tonight really hit home with the crowd. I guess I'll have them all send "Thank You" cards to Florida, huh?

You guys are just too funny...

That reminds me of a T-shirt I recently saw in a catalog that stated:

"Hokey-Pokey...What if that's really what it's all about?"

I'm sure it DID hit home with me, and maybe that's why it touched the crowd in a special way too. They felt what I felt through the lyric and dynamic. That's a rare pleasure in the biz ... both on the same wavelength at the same time!
Love is grand, but Music is AWESOME.

More like DEEFIELD Beach! lol
(Maureen's new hometown)
We were just on the phone when the doorbel rang ( hers) and she got her Valentines Day flowers just then! Very cool that I just happened to be on the line at the time.
(Major brownie points for me!)
I've been doing a NO sugar, NO flour meal plan lately, and while it's slower than Atkins, it's got more variation....and it IS working.
I'm Svelt! ( well, not just yet ... )

I am sure UD made a typo on the name of the town. It is Deerfield Beach...not Deefield. But, I hear they are thinking of changing it to Dearfield in honor of UD and Maureen.

By the way Dave, can we call her "Aunt Maureen"?

Don't forget to buckle up--it may be a rough ride! It's almost Valentine's Day--better take some roses with you.

Have a safe flight,

There and back, my friend. There and back.
It's official ... no more redheads for your uncle. No more anything but (you gessed it) Maureen...... we had a BLAST. 24 hours of fun, fun, fun!

Can't talk now ... have to book an extra flight for THIS weekend .... I'm not waiting 2 more weeks to see her! I can't let THIS one slip away ....... it's too good.

BTW - the "Spirit of Philadelphia" dinner cruise on the Delaware River was AWESOME!!!!
Great atmosphere, great food, unlimited champagne, wine and open bar, live Vegas style entertainment and DJ dance music ... with PLENTY of Sloooooooo dances for all the couple celebrating St. Valentine's Day...like us - plus 1/2 doz red roses with glass vase, 2 souvaneer drink glasses and a terrific photo on the gangplank. It was like a "Love Boat" cruise ... but it was only a three hour tour.....a three hour tour.(cue music, little buddy)

UD was hit (big time) by cupid's arrow yesterday ....... Expect some changes soon...

Yeah, you know all that sunshine in Florida isn't good for a woman's fair complexion. Maureen really needs the gentle grace of the changes of the seasons to fully appreciate the beauty of nature and the wonder of a Philadelphia fall.

She and her son are flyin' up this weekend so I can meet ( again, after 20 years!! )her Mom and sisters, and then on Sunday .. my kids will come over to "meet the f*ckers" at my house for dinner.

After that ... who knows? Lots of cell phone minutes ( we each changed our plans to include 2000 peak minutes ), lots of weekend jets until we can't stand it anymore. Then I guess I'll have to think about a more permanent solution, huh?

"Movin' in" or "shackin' up" is not an option. That's not a lesson I'd want to teach my kids. This will require some careful planing and gentle tweaking to see if all the pieces can fit together.
The part that needs finesse is how we affect the lives of the kids..... we'll have 6 between us if (when?) anything significant happens.

I smell smoke .... is that my brain working OT?

Tony,
(and all .... )
There is NO way I am letting Maureen slip away again. I am willing to redefine the word "Whipped" to keep her around, and I know the efforts will not be wasted.
I swear, if something doesn't change soon .... I'm going to just have this cell phone implanted in my ear! We are on the phone CONSTANTLY ...... well, 2 more days and we can get down to the business of life again. Two very long days. Two lonely dayyyyyyyyysssssss, just waiting, and dreaming ...... and waiting .............
Aw, now you got me all misty !

Hey UNCLE DAVE, are you ill, crazy or...'amorous'??? What a good feeling must it be...??? I never remember the last time when I felt those feelings... ;-)

In a few months or years you'll think back and it will conjure a little smile on your face. :-)

Ah, now the doctor's analysis is easy: you felt in love!

No medicine can help!
There are well known secundary effects!
There is no chance to escape!

Hm, that sounds not very good.
No matter UD! Take the effects and reap the benefits of love! *yeah*
