Hello! I bought a keyboard (Yamaha S30) a couple of days ago and I tried to record tracks on my computer (Windows 98) with XG Works lite (it was in the box). I understood how to record as many tracks as I want, but they always have the same sound. For instance, if I record a piano track (No 1) and a bassline (No 2), at the play back both tracks have the same sound. What can I do?

Thank you very much

Kill yourself now. Just trust me on this. Try setting the different instruments on different MIDI channels.

If there's a program number to the left of where your MIDI tracks are, either disable it or set that number to the number of the patch you want. Make sure each instrument is on a different MIDI channel. Basically an elaboration of what tek said.

Ignore MRT1212, he's a cock, see the dj thread.
