I bought an M-audio once didn't like it the whole board seemed lightweight and not built well. I don't know if it was that model or not.
because of the latency problem I just couldn't play it. There are ways around that and other guys here that know alot more about it.
I decided I didn't want to mess with it and gave up. I just wanted a board I could turn on and play.
If you're interested in soft synths do a search and find someone more qualified.

If 49 keys work for you ...I would go for the EMU...the key feel and controllers are very nice..
