Hello,

I am a multimedia student in Melbourne Australia and I wish to create a device that I can mount on my guitar, somthing like a midi wand. The way it will work is that the wand will be the pick which is held in the hand and depending on where you move your hand either up and down (strum) or left or right (up and down the neck of the guitar) the xy cordinates are picked up and a value is output....ok so why have it on a guitar...well what I propose to do is make it so that when the pick hits one of the six strings then a different value is output...lets say a control change or what ever so when the pick hits a string a circut is created and the message is sent....then this will be controlling a video sampler....few....

I hope that made enough sense to you, any advice would be greatful, I hope that it will not be too expensive to build...I am applying for new media grants from the australian council and I need to know if it is possible....or just plain ridiculous...

thank you tim
