Help me someone?

My Roland SC7 sound module has better sounds then my Yamaha QY20 sequencer does but the SC7 will only play drums and keys when I want it to play drums and bass! Why? Does anyone know? Can anyone help me? Would someone please email me if they can help me in anyway? Thank you in advance!

I'm not sure, but it sounds like the Yamaha is not transmitting a program change message to the Roland piece. The drums are correct because of the default midi channel and the drum map, but the bass channell needs to send a command to the module to tell it what tone to play. The Yamaha may not have the ability, or it just may not be turned on...who knows?
