Hi There!

A few weeks ago I posted a message about compatibility between the old PSR-630 and the new PSR-640/740. As the keyboard uses the XG tone module, it is fully compatible when playing XG midi files. However, when it comes to registrations, it is a different story. The 640/740 will NOT (according to Yamaha Music Australia) load PSR-630 registrations!! The reason given is that the PSR sounds and rhythms are different on both keyboards.

Does anyone else think that this is a problem, if you do, please reply. I am very interested to hear what other people have to say!
