I was scanning through ebay and I came across this auctuion. I have never seen anything like it before. Apprently the gentlemen selling it has no idea either? All he knows is that it has CBS written on it, and that it had a top too it as well. It was a modualr system. Looks like something that Don Buchla might have made but I doubt it very much. I am courious as too know what it is?

Whoever wins this one should send a photo of it to Keyboard Magazine for their Keyboard of the Month. I know the staff over there would get a kick out of it.

It's just a part of a larger system. My memory fails me right now. I've seen pics of a complete modular or semi-modular system that had a similar or same blue touch keyboard.

Let me have a look around.

Hmm! Looks similar. Did CBS ever sell Buchla products?

No idea, but the touchplate gave it away pretty fast. I'm 99% sure it's part of a Buchla system of some kind.

CBS Musical Instruments spells Fender in the early to mid 70's don't it?

CBS bought out Fender around that time. Rogers drums too.

To bad CBS no longer has a musical instrument divsion. Wasn't Fender bought out from CBS by someone else?

Nope I was wrong, Fender is still it's own company. Just found the website. They still make guitars and amps.
