so i got my djx keyboard hooked up to my computer, and i have cakewalk homestudio 9 installed. sometimes i can hear what i'm playing on the keyboard through the computer speakers, sometimes i cant.. and when i can, its just those corny ass midi beeps..not the actual sounds..so a snaredrum and e flat on a pipe organ sound the same
can anyone help me?

It seems you have set the output to the internal synth when u hear the midi blips and blops,
be shure to select midi out port allways on each track.
I use cubase but i think its the same.

hmmm... so i played with the settings a bit and the end result was, when i record in cakewalk i hear the metronome come out of my keyboard speakers, and i can record shit (bleeps and bloops) and they play back through my keyboard speakers... so i got something done... what exactly is it i need to do??
