I use a Boss DR5 unit to create backing tracks for my covers band and have (on loan) a yamaha MDF2 data filer for backup. I have recently started to do tracks for other bands and although some want the tracks straight to minidisc, 2 have asked for the floppies to tinker with if they need to. The problem has arisen that they cannot open the disks using Cubase.I thought the problem was the MFF (0)
& that I could solve this by updating to the MDf3, but have found that although the MDF3 can READ MFF1, it still writes in MFF0. A friend said they thought you could change the extension names on the computer screen and this may fix the problem, but one prospective customer says his Atari wont even recognise the file for him to do this. Is this A PC problem as well? I am in danger of losing a lot of work through this problem - can anyone HELP or suggest a simple alternative ASAP please .
