Hi There!

I am looking at getting the new 740, however I am wondering if the registrations created on the 630 are compatible with the 740 or do i need to make new sounds?

I know that the XG backings will work fine. All of my files use the regist. memory and xg backings together.

Thanks

It'll have to wait until tomorrow before I can get hold of a PSR 630. I'll let you know.

Thanks for your help!!

A few more questions ( I think you must already have the 640 or 740 ???)

1. How long does it take to save the registrations to disk on the 640/740? (The 630 can take up to 5 minuets - depending on how many files are on the disk)

2. How long does it take to load the registrations from the 640/740 from disk?

3. Is it possible to link the midi file to the sounds so that when you select a registration (for example number 1) it selects the midi backing track??

Sorry for all of these questions. Thank you very much for all your help. I have posted questions to Yamaha Australia, however things move very slowly!!! I have also tried USA, UK and Japan. All reply with the same message - please send all questions to Yamaha Australia! It is a never ending circle of no answers!

Thanks again - Brad.
