Some friends of mine have organized a 24 hour drone starting at 8pm CST tonight in the basement of the music building on campus. They're streaming it on the internet so I figured I'd pimp it here. I'll be participating as well for as long as I can.

As for instruments, I know there will be 2 vintage organs there, one of them I'm pretty sure is a Farfesa (sp?), my Fizmo, possibly a theremin, maybe my MS2000, and whatever anyone else brings.

Tune in, turn on, drone out.

I was expecting drone music. My expectations were not met.

I can hear a slow arpeggio, this is great. Is this all live or is this pre-recorded?

Well, there's not much to hear now, the other guys damn near passed out around 3pm, so we've just taped some keys down and left the building. I cheated and came home at about 4am and slept for a few hours. Now there's a literal drone, whereas before it was more minimalist.

The instruments: Reason, Roland XP-80, Hammond XB2, Roland Juno 60, Ensoniq Fizmo, Korg MS2000.

At around noon one of our professors showed up with an alto saxophone, and soon after that we had a couple guitarists pop in. If you happened to tune in around 12pm CST, that was our "climax" and it was ****ing orgasmic. It went really well overall and anyone who tuned in before 3pm got a nice treat. Kevin, the guy on the Hammond, played like a ****ing maniac non-stop from 8pm through 3pm.
