What is the best way to get a Technics style to EMC program ? I have a copy of the "Private" folders on pc. As you know, there are 99 folders, each containing 20 styles. Each style has the installer patch and seven parts. Do I works with these, or somehow export a style from my KN7000 ? If I drag all of the components to a folder, I am not sure it would be seen.

Your advice will be appreciated.

Hi Bernie
Just save the relevant style from your KN7000 to a floppy disk, walk over to your PC and download it to a folder in Windows Explorer. Fire up EMC click on Style Converter, click on Technics and select 7000, go to the folder mentioned above and select that file.
Plain sailing from there...

Hi Bernie.

Either way will do, from a folder at your PC, USB stick or Floppy.
The new version of EMC also read and convert in "batch mode", you
can i.e. choose a folder as source, and another as target for the
converted files, that way you don't have to convert one by one.
As a start to be familiar to the steps, copy some files into a new
folder, make another one for save work and start explore.

Good luck converting, prepare yourself for some work to make the
styles sound good at the keyboard you convert for.
In fact, I think Technics files are the ones who need most work
after convert.

Cheers

Thank you both for your advice. I have coverted a couple and they sound great, but two, of course, does not mean much. The work is going to be choosing instruments and constructing PM's that were already done on my 3rd party styles.

While I kind of expected my old chap Rog to chime in, I was glad to hear from you GJ,thanks.
