Need some "how to" direction for connecting my PR604 to my PC running Windows XP. Have an Audigy (if that matters) soundboard and Band in a Box installed. Midi cables as well. No midi input on the PC. Have a midi converter cable that accepts the midi cable running from the SX PR604 that transitions into a mini RAC plug. Primary goal is to record PR604 output in a format that can eventually result in a PC based MP3 file. Need the "how to" and "missing item(s)" feedback.
Tim

Note: Synth model corrected per R.M.'s feedback.

I DO IF YOU KNOW HOW

Harmony Central® New Technics Digital Ensembles IntroducedFor a seasoned player or beginner, the new Technics SX-PR604/M and SX-PR804/M digital ensembles come equipped with on-board instructional tools and ...
It is a recording piano like a keyboard but more like a piano as in Clavinet
You probably need to get a midi to USB box to use midi from piano to computer
OR
run your left and right cords into a Y cord with a 1/6 inch stereo male plug and plut it into your sound card. Then you can record into computer sound recording software.

When you graduate to Digital Ensembles, you will become conversant with the model numbers.
Refer to my PR903, and I beleive Audrey may be able to help you as well. (how do I apply those smiley icons)

What ever happened to just plain words!!!

I know what a USB port is though I do not know what USB is in translation to words!!!

It took persistent questioning to learn that SX means "single drive"... What KN means I have no clue.(I do not need to know either).
I do know that KNSX7000 is the model name of my favorite electronic arranger piano keyboard!

'Travel anywhere whilst eating your cornflakes...!'
Ray - in the UK MP stands for Member of Parliament or Military Police and not PR604.
Anyway I've sorted Tim's problem...
Best wishes all
