Short answer Bernie - NO!!

I've tried several different USB Reader/Writers and none of them will work with the SD Jukebox software. All of them work fine when reading/writing using Song Manager or Fred Mellink's KN SD Explorer. My guess is that there is some kind of 'Key' within the SD Jukebox software, which only allows it to be used with the Reader/Writer supplied in the SZ-CB7 kit

I have a Panasonic PCMCIA reader which transfers audio OK with Jukebox, and also over the years the built in SD readers in five various Toshiba top of the range Satellite and Qosmio media centre type laptops have transferred audio fine from Jukebox without needing any Panasonic readers. Obviously these have no connection with Jukebox but since Toshiba was one of the co-inventors of SD they have implemented fully the SD specification including the encryption part in their firmware.
