I have been having a problem with my kn6000 sounds continuing to play and I have to use the panic botton a lot. Does anyone know how to stop this, or who I can contact to get information on this? I have contacted the technics sopport people but they were unable to help.

I would guess that if you have talked to the Technics support people that have had you do a hard reset, and probably install all the latest OS upgrades. If that is so then it leaves you nowhere.
One thing comes to mind. unplug all your pedals and do a reset and try it. If that does it then you are on the right track.
If not take it to the shop.
Best to you and welcome to the forum

The support people never had me do an upgrade or a hard reset. They only said that I put in to many sounds for the kn6000 to handle, and that I would have to take out some of the sounds.I took out almost all of the sounds and i still had to use the panic button. Please explain a hard reset and what is(the latest OS upgrades)? Also thanks for your reply

To do a Hard Reset:
Turn off keyboard and wait 10 seconds.
Hold down button for Latin, World, and Custom and switch on.
For a factory reset:
Turn off and wait 10 seconds
Hold down top 4 Rythm Buttons and switch on
The last upgrade to the operating system that I am aware of before I mothballed the keyboard was Version 7.0
To determine which os you have turn the keyboard off, wait 10 seconds and hold down Digital Drawbar, Accordion Register, and
Sound Explorer on the Sound Group Panel. The version will then be shown in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

Bebop; Thanks so much for the information you gave. I tried the (hard reset)and the(factory reset) but I still have the problem with the sounds holding out. I checked the version of my software and it is (4.0). If I get a 7.0 version will it change the sounds or styles I have set up? How expensive is 7.0? I am sorry I have to ask you so many questions but There is no one in my area knowledgeable about the kn6000, and the store I purchased the kn6000 has not been of any help.

Did you try unplugging your foot pedals/switches, and then initializing(RESET)?
For OS upgrades send an email to: WilliamsE@PANASONIC.com

Bebop: I tried removing the foot switch and reset but it did not help, I still had to use the panic button a number of times.I gave Ed Williams another call to see about version 7.0 because I have been contacting him since I got the kn6000. I am waiting for him to return my call. Again I thank you for trying. If you hear anything new please contact me .
