I would like to request advice from the ListServ members. I have Cakewalk, which I've never used, about a 10- or 15-year old sampling keyboard, a new PC with Finale 1998 and 2003. I write songs in Finale, and can play them back thru' the midi keyboard attached to the PC. I would like to record some spoken syllables, use them repetitively as a "percussion" accompaniment, play the song thru' the midi keyboard, and sing the melody line, recording the whole thing at the same time. Am I asking one PC to do too much at one time? Next, I have some slides in PowerPoint, which I can make into PDFs, and which I would like to accompany the audio. Any advice would be most welcome. Please feel free to reply to the List or to me personally. Fred Blumenthal XD2FABL@US.IBM.COM
