Looking for the music "Oh I do like to be by the Seaside". 2/4,or 4/4.

Hi Fran

The version I have is in 6/8 time.
Written by John A Glover-Kind, 1909.

O'h I do like to be beside the seaside,
O'h I do like to be beside the sea,
O'h I do like to stroll along the Prom, Prom, Prom
Where the brass band plays, tiddly-om-pom-pom
etc., etc.,

Is this the version you want?

The chorus and verse is 6 pages. Will scan if it is correct version...........Joan

I have just found a shorter version which I have posted to your email address.....J

Joan,

The short version is perfect. Thank you.

Thanks, Derick, but Joan's will do the trick.

Hi Fran,

If it helps you I have the original 30's recording by the one and only "Reginald Dixon" playing this song on the organ at the Tower Ballroom Blackpool.

Just shout if you'd like to hear it

Kind regards

Peter
