Hi, I'm new to this forum having just purchased a Technics PR804 digital piano and absolutely loving it. The only problem is the range of styles is somewhat limited compared with top of the range keyboards and wondered is there any free styles for the PR804 available on the internet for downloading.
Cheers Jurone (New Zealand)

HI,

You won't find much for the PR804, which has nothing to do with the PR804. It's just that the KN models are the most popular and therefore it has more available styles. However all is not lost!

The PR804 will load and play TRUE KN6000/6500/7000 format styles. Noticed I said TRUE. You may come across some files that says KN7000 compatible, which could mean it was saved using a KN3000. Which will work on a KN7000 but not on the PR804. Also, custom and SD card format files won't work, it has to be saved in floppy disk style.

I'm using another computer and don't have some web links I can give you. Do some web searches using KN7000 and see what comes up. Others here on the forum will be glad to share links.

Hard to explain since you are new, but there are some limitation on using KN disks, but not that limited. Bottom line, it works! One sad note, even though the PR804 can load and play KN6000-7000 styles, the KN6000-7000 is unable to play PR804 files.

Another area to explore is midi files, do a web search for midi files (*.mid), those will play nicely on your PR804. Loads differently so read the manual on how to load various types of files.

Hi Anthony, thanks for that information. I will have a go and see what I can come up with.
Cheers from down under, Jurone
