The Kn7000 players world is short one player today....Paul Richardson, the Philadelphia Phillies organist, and a very close personal friend, has died at age 74 of prostate cancer. I can still remember Paul's phone call to me. He had just purchased a KN7000 and told me that I had NEVER played a keyboard this good, and to get down and play one at a local dealer. I did, and the next day showed up at the dealership with my checkbook. I have never regretted this decision. Paul always had problems with anything relating to computers, so on more than one occasion, he would call me and ask "Hey Jim, how in the heck do you do this or that on the 7000"?? Several times, I went to his house, because showing him would be easier than explaining over a phone.
Paul was a consumate musician, and a a dear friend. I'll miss him, as will the rest of the music world. Godspeed, my friend.

I heard him play many times at Vet Stadium and Citizens Bank Park. He actually goes way back to Connie Mack Stadium...amazing

I had no idea he passed away.

He was a part of the Phillies for a long time.

He will be missed.

Here's how I'll remember
Paul Richardson

I met Paul when I sang the National Anthym for the Phillies/Mets game waaaaay back in 1984. He was a real gentleman when I asked him to just give me a Bb chord and let me sing accapella. (I was afraid the almost 2 second delay would screw me up.)
He was gracious enough to allow it, and that day was one of the highlights of my carreer.
God Speed, Paul ! Thanx for years of entertainment at the ballpark !

I too met Paul many years ago thru our mutual friend Joe Pelligrino [Joe was a TV sportscaster, that also sang..I worked with Joe for 3 years..backing him on keyboards].

Paul was one of the friendliest people I knew,,Not only a great musician and entertainer, but a great person..
I was sorry to hear of his passing..
