I have not been able to find a manual on any website for the subject keyboard. I need to know what the default midi channels numbers are for this keyboard as I want to use it as a module controlled by another midi instrument. It would be most appreciated if someone could tell me what the default receiving midi channels are for this keyboard. Thanks

RoyRoy

RoyRoy, Sorry I have no idea, however my observation with all modules and keyboards that I have owned lots) is that Channel 1 seems to be a standard.

Hello Roy,

I didn't know there was a KN500 keyboard.
Are you sure you haven't left off a'0' and it should read KN5000?

Just checking!

Many KN models made and sold trough the years Audrey.
Here is a nice "index":

RoyRoy, may be referring to the note to arranger channel...Roland uses channels 12 and 13 for this setup..Allowing a controller access to the Roland NTA...

It is true , most keyboards default to channel 1, but the NTA is different...at least on my Roland..

Or maybe can copy it for you?

Good luck in your hunt.

Thanks for that Gunnar. You learn something every day don't you. I have to say the info is very interesting but as usual its very late tonight, so I'll study it further tomorrow.

Thanks again.
