Larry, you've missed the point - the UK 'Sales Tax' (VAT) is included in the prices I quoted. Also, if an item is purchased in UK and it can be proven that it is going to be exported, then no VAT is charged. So, the Tax free price of a £1500 KN7000, as quoted by Chuck, would be £1276 ($2046)

WOW, Bill, that is below US Dealer cost. Could you courrier a couple over two me

Hi Beebop,
that sounds expensive. They retail here in Australia for just under $7,000 AUD but they get discounted down by the dealers. I picked mine up for just over $4000 AUD incl 10% GST
which at that time would have been roughly the equivalent of $ 2200 to $2300 USD.

best wishes

Quick cautionary note - I'm sure you all know this but ...

Suply Voltage here in the UK is 240V 50Hz. I'm not sure if the power supply in the 7000 is universal or has to be modified to cope with US voltages ( I believe these are 115V 60Hz but correct me if I am wrong ) Might be as well to check with Technics before buying something that may go BAng as soon as you plug it in !!.

I was advised by the Technics Rep. that only keyboards purchased in the US would work ok and be warrantied in the US. He also mentioned besides the transformer something about the software being different. I didn't hear all he said about that. Perhaps Alec can tell us more about that??
