A friend at church just bought a new KN1400 and is now learning the functions. She has asked me if there are any other Technics styles that will load and play in her keyboard, and I really didn't know the answer to that. Would any of you happen to know off-hand what will play on a kn1400 so she won't have to do a lot of needless downloading from various internet sites? Like, maybe styles from the KN1500 or KN2000? For those of you who DO know the answer, may good fortune smile on you all the coming year, and for those who don't.....well, keep reading this forum and before long you'll know all the answers!!

Thanks Walter. I should have been more specific and asked about on-board styles from another keyboard that would transfer to the kn1400 and play. Like from the kn2k or the kn1500. Everything I have has been converted to kn6k format, so I suppose the next thing I should find out is if she got a style conversion disk with the kn1400, and send her out on internet sites to download styles. It just doesn't seem like the kn1400 would have those properties. She couldn't afford the larger keyboards like the kn6x's or the new kn7k, so I don't think she will be too happy paying $35 a disk for commercial styles. I'll keep looking. Have a Happy New Year!

Since the 2000 & 3000 play in the 5000 it would be logical to say they will play in the 1400. Or would it??!!...Walter.

Thanks for the help, everyone! With this info I can just send her to Gunnar Jonny's site and she can download to her heart's content. There's enough styles to last her a few years, at least.

Gunnar, have you been away for the holidays? Welcome back!
