Hi, I received my kn 7000 book and video a couple of days ago, and have been trying to save the free styles , but no luck. I tried "copy from disk" but it doesn't work. Most of you already have gone through this, but its new to me. Maybe Alec should write a "KN 7000 for Dummies" book. Thanks, Allene

I copied some of my own songs from floppy disc to the SD card, and had no trouble.I cannot get the styles from the Kn7000 site to load. Am I missing something?

Hi Allene, I assume you are referring to style files which you have downloaded from the KN7000 website and that they are on floppy disc. These files are in .CST format and cannot be loaded using the normal 'LOAD' command. You must use the 'Custom Load' function ie the Bottom Left button on the Disc Load screen. This will load the style into the Custom memory.

Thanks Bill, but still no luck. I'll re-read the book and watch the video again, and keep trying. Very frustrating, since I've had no trouble with anything else on the 7000. Allene

read 3.03 and 3.04
then 3.12 - all explain the difference between all custom and single custom and how to treat them, also 8.15. Make sure you are using the right method for the correct type of file.

all the download styles are on the provided CD for full custom or single custom loading. Section 8 describes various alternative methods of transferring these files to your SD card.

The easiest in undoubtedly to use the backups I've provided, all indexed and renamed for you with favorites programmed.
See 4.17 and 8.17. Backup your existing SD card first if intending to overwrite it!
