I have moved on from the days when the sound used to have to be in the keyboard itself. Either an iPad or a Mac Mini can give you far greater choice of pianos and be small enough to easily use on stage, and, no disrespect to the hardware keyboards, offer a far more satisfying piano experience than hardware can offer.

I particularly enjoy Pianoteq because it's modeled, so sample velocity switching is a thing of the past. Yes, things like Etude can give the LISTENER a slightly better experience, but the player has the full 128 velocity steps (not seven or eight or ten) and it just feels amazingly dynamic.

The fact that it's just 50MB or so rather than dozens of GB is the cherry 🍒 on the cake! 🎂
