The Yamaha Genos 3 is anticipated to be an arranger workstation featuring groundbreaking AI-powered features like an AI Style Generator and Voice/Performance Cloner, enhanced sound quality, a new high-resolution touchscreen, studio-grade effects, seamless DAW integration, and a gesture control system for hands-free operation. It will likely build on the Genos legacy with upgraded internal hardware, expanded voice options, and a redesigned user interface, making it a powerful tool for both live performance and studio production.

Key Expected Features

AI-Powered Style Generator: This innovative feature allows users to generate complex backing arrangements and styles by inputting a reference track or even humming a melody.
Voice & Performance Cloner: Using deep machine learning, this tool will enable users to replicate the nuances of famous performers' voices and performances, perfect for tribute acts or personal expression.

Smart Articulation AI: The Genos 3 will likely include an AI system that automatically adds realistic performance nuances and dynamic phrasing to MIDI input, making sequences sound more expressive.
Upgraded Hardware: Expect an improved multi-core DSP engine for superior sound processing and an expanded range of Super Articulation voices, rivaling professional studio production.
New High-Resolution Touch Display: A larger, high-resolution multi-touch display is anticipated, providing a more intuitive and efficient user interface.

Seamless DAW Integration: The Genos 3 will offer easy integration with DAWs like Cubase and Logic Pro, allowing for direct drag-and-drop of AI-generated parts into your music production sessions.
Gesture Control System: Rumors suggest a new motion sensor system for hands-free control, enabling performers to switch styles, mute parts, or change registrations on the fly.

Enhanced Sound and Performance Features

Studio-Grade Effects: The Genos 3 will continue the Genos tradition with high-quality, studio-grade effects.

Expanded Voice Library: In addition to its enhanced AI, the Genos 3 will offer an even larger and more diverse collection of voices, including highly realistic piano, string, and drum sounds.
Gesture Control: This hands-free feature allows for on-the-fly control of the keyboard, which is beneficial for live performers.
Target User

The Genos 3 is designed to be a flagship instrument, ideal for both live performers and studio producers. Its powerful features for creating complex arrangements and its seamless integration with music software make it a versatile tool for a wide range of musical applications.

Sounds like somebody's wish list rather than anything factual, plus there was 6 years between Genos and Genos 2, so probably end of the decade before the next one. (Assuming they even make another one)
Another thing, the vast majority of arranger buyers wouldn't know what to do with AI if it hit them in the face.
Thanks for posting though, always good to have a laugh in the morning.

Agree with Bill here. 👍

Most likely more like a wishful thinking than a fact.
Btw,
when read "The Genos 3 is designed to be a flagship instrument" , it make it look like it's already produced.
Well, G2 is a 'flagship', so it would be very odd if G3 (if it ever show up) did not follow up that strategy.

Found online....
How trustworthy is the source? For some reason or another, it make me think it's AI generated text? 🤔

No credible rumors about the Genos2's new features ever dropped before release. Yamaha run a pretty tight ship.

And yes, we are a good five or more years away from a likely timeframe for a replacement for the Genos2 (launched November 15, 2023). I am surprised you paid this any attention, Taike... it doesn't pass the sniff test at all.👃🏼🤣

Like I said, don't shoot the messenger. In other words, I don't believe any of this but only wanted to show how unrealistic some are in their beliefs. Just like in politics....
