Hi Dengizich,Ha! I thoroughly enjoyed that video. It was hilarious but the message was clear. AI has the potential to replace humans doing repetitive tasks. However, AI can also lead to our destruction.
Sometimes I feel we have reached peak civilization or very close to it. After the inevitable collapse we would go back to a simpler way of life.
I watched a mind bending documentary on this topic – The Great Simplification by Nate Hagens.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xr9rIQxwj4Energy is the currency of life. Everything we spend money on requires energy to mine, create, deliver, run, maintain and dispose it. Energy is the true capital of our monetary system.
As we create more money, we do not create more resources. We merely access them faster.
We are drawing down earths energy battery millions of times faster than it was trickle charged by daily photosynthesis. Our economy is now 1000 times bigger than it was 500 years ago.
In the coming century humanity will experience a great simplification. As the extraction of geologically stored energy becomes more difficult, everything we are used to in society will become more costly and less available.
Complex global supply chains, the related high consumption lifestyles and many of the convenience and freedoms we take for granted in this era of abundant energy surplus will diminish. The ensuing simplification will be amongst the most significant events experienced by our species.
