Paul Carman posted a short YouTube Tutorial showing how to connect the Ketron EVM Module to the Yamaha Genos2.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BK3aDnWNTLA1.
Connect the MIDI OUT of the Genos2 to the MIDI IN of the KVM.
Genos2 will act as a MIDI Transmitting Device.
EVM will act as a MIDI Receiving Device.
2.
Connect the stereo audio out of the KVM to the stereo line inputs of the Genos2
3.
MIDI Settings for KVM
MENU | MIDI | EDIT | Rx (Receive MIDI messages)
Set Right Voice to MIDI Channel 1
Set Left Voice to MIDI Channel 2. This controls the lower voices and the styles.
4.
MIDI Settings for Genos2
MENU | MENU2 | MIDI | Transmit
Set Right1 = MIDI Channel 1
Set Left = MIDI Channel 2
Set Right2 = off
Set Right3 = off
MIDI | SYSTEM | Local Control
Left = Uncheck (Turn Local Control Off). When you play the lower keyboard, no sound will come from the Genos2. It would transmit MIDI messages to play the styles on the KVM
Right1 = Uncheck (Turn Local Control Off). When you play any Right1 voice, no sound will come from the Genos2. It will transmit MIDI messages to the KVM. You will hear the Right Voice being played through the KVM.
Note: While the Left and Right1 voices are being played through the KVM, you can still layer the Right2 and Right3 voices from the Genos2.
5.
You can save different MIDI settings within each Registration.
