I have been using an iPad for my music --- lyrics, chords; and at times notation.

I would like a pad just for my music that does the same job. I do not want to use a Laptop computer.

I appreciate any help, John C.

John, why not just stick with the iPad. In my opinion…they’re solid and probably the most versatile tablet for music performance. Prices are competitive with other comparable brands too. Good luck with your research.

The only reason I don't use an iPad as my music tablet is the operating system. I have been using my Surface Pro 3 for years with no problems. I am thinking about a Surface Pro 8 as it has a headphone jack that most have discontinued. I have music programs like Notation Composer that I wouldn't give up.

There are, of coarse, many options, but this is mine.

Been using an IPAD with Unrealbook for years. Works great and connects to my BK9 to change programs as I choose a song. I recently upgraded to and IPAD Pro for the larger screen to see lead sheets better. There is a dongle adaptor to plug into the USB C jack which will give you a headphone type jack for music playback. Sold a bunch of music stuff I wasn't using and bought it. So far happy. Apple stuff costs more but you get better support and it doesn't break down. Worth it in my opinion. I don't know all the music programs available for it but there's a lot as Apple is very popular in the music world. Good Luck

I agree that as long as you can afford it, it's safer to choose reliable stuff that is a pleasure to use. That being said, just want to mention that I bought for my mom a Lenovo tablet about 8 years ago for about $100 and she still uses it to surf the net. She also uses an Acer tablet with a bigger screen, my dad bought it for about $160 nearly 10 years ago. If the goal is to read PDF files or so, well, I'm not sure that there are a lot of wrong choices.
