I finally started cleaning out my storage closet, and among my old treasures, I found complete sets of audio instruments that cost several hundred dollars. Needless to say, I had gotten ahead of myself as usual. I had purchased a Receptor C to avoid upgrades in the future. Unfortunately, the Receptor died.

Is there any possible way to use any of my ill gotten disks? There are 10 East West discs and 5 Kontakt.

Bernie, there shouldn’t be any reason you couldn’t load the disc’s into your computer for midi playback. Native Instruments has there own software player which should load with the set. If not...you can download the NI player for free at their website. Komplete 5 is pretty old now so there might be some compatibility issues, but it should still work.

East West also includes their own software player. Worst case...East West is still very much active, so contacting them through customer service might help.
Good luck,
Mitch

Bernie, I should have mentioned that as long as the discs are factory discs and not custom Receptor discs...they should load into Windows. It appears that Receptor used Linux as their operating system. If the discs were proprietary to Receptor and Linux, they may not work.
