I, also, wholeheartedly agree with Diki about getting away from the "mine is better than yours" motif. We have had a very upsetting year in our personal lives and, certainly, the recent loss of our beloved leader. This is a new year to rebuild, with the help of our faithful members, a gentle loving forum that will benefit us all. I, for one will continue to contribute what little I can.

Bernie, your words are so true; they are the words of a gentle loving man.

I agree with every word, mine is better than yours will always lead to conflict.

Good thoughts. I hope they spread throughout the musical world

I liked your post very much Bernie. It's been a hard and painful time for so many of us, but let's try to remember we are here for our love of this musical art form. We have much to learn from each other. Let's focus on the positive!

Agreed. Let's put the past behind and while we learn from it, make a progressive effort to make the future even better.

What do you say to a handshake for a start Captain Russ?

Like I say enjoy what you have, and make sure you have made the most out of what you have.

When you are young , you rush into life and waste it by doing this or that. You think it won't end or diminish or fall apart on you; since you feel bullet proof.

Then years later, you slow down and look back at what was and ask what is left or where has it all gone? But really, you need to look at who you were with and who influenced you and visa versa. Look at what you learnt and still can learn, plus what you can now pass on to the many that are still willing to listen. Those younger ones missed out on the years greatest musical heros of the 50's, 60's, maybe even the 70's and 80's and their styles and musical creations.

Joy is in the ears that hear, even while our hearts break when we look at the empty chair at the table.

I am an Auzzie and so was Nigel, but he was also multinational in his love for music and sharing of anythink connected to that. Hope we can continue in the same vain and keep the ship afloat and keep sharing our love for music.
